Client: the Minister of the Regional Government of the Russian Federation
Purpose: Defense of the interests of the Ministry of the Regional Government of the Russian Federation at the preliminary investigation and in court, who was charged under Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud) and suspected under Article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (participation in a criminal community).
Result:
1. At the stage of the preliminary investigation, the charges under Article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (criminal community) were dropped.
2. At the stage of the first instance hearings our client was released from custody. With our help the basic document of the prosecution — the expert opinion — was declared inadmissible and excluded from evidence.
3. The Court returned the case to the Prosecutor’s Office for further investigation.
